We don't know why, but the more Maximo sleeps during the day, the better he sleeps at night! And... he sleeps better during the day if we're carting him all over the place - either in the car or one of the baby carriers. Last night he went to bed at 7:30 and woke up at 11:30. I gave him his pacifier and this put him back to sleep for another hour. He ate beautifully at 12:30 with big burps (very important), then he woke up again at 4:00, ate a little and then slept again until 6. We're hoping he's moving towards just getting up once a night.
Today we also went to the US Embassy to (finally) register Maximo as a U.S. citizen and apply for his passport. Getting the picture taken was pretty humorous. He was sleeping in the car, so we had to wake him up then bounce him around. Thank God for PhotoShop; the guy had to take my arms out of the photo. He should have his passport in a couple of weeks.
Tomorrow we head off to Dr. Zegarra's for a check-up, vaccinations, and his million-dollar shot of Synergis. We'll post the feedback from the doctor tomorrow!
