We're almost through what feels like a long week - they've all been long since I've returned back to work. Each night is the same rushed routine - heat Max's dinner as soon as I walk in the door (after washing up), then feeding him, straight to the bath since he's caked in food, milk, then bed. We can't wait for him to get a little older, so he can stay up a little later than his 5:30 bedtime... He's been falling asleep drinking milk the past week, so we haven't even been able to read books. His daytime sleeping has been erratic and not great - today for example, he only took a morning nap - so he fell asleep around 5. (Which probably means he'll be up super early - whoo-hoo!)
An exciting thing that has happened this past week is that Maximo has started to laugh a lot! Fully belled, tip his head back, kind of laugh. For whatever reason, he thinks saying, "Me, me, me, me me!" in a high pitched voice is the funniest thing in the world - so this is what we do about 30 times a day. He still thinks it's funny after thirty times - so we keep doing it!
The stressful part of the week has been scheduling therapy sessions - the doctor wrote a prescription for three times a week until we are re-evaluated at the end of May. Unfortunately, last week, the therapist couldn't work it into her schedule since she just found out on Monday. This week, she was sick, so she cancelled Monday. So, she came yesterday, today, and on Saturday we're going to hopefully go up to the clinic. Ines (the therapist) works 8-2 at the clinic, then has house calls in the afternoons. Since she takes buses, it takes her longer to get places, especially in afternoon traffic, so realistically she can only do about one house call an afternoon. We'd love it if she could come Monday, Wednesday and Friday, but Fridays she goes to Alexander's house - Alexander is the French baby that was in the incubator next to Max for a month in the NICU. So, hopefully, we're going to do therapy Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. If that doesn't work out next week, then we're going to have to send Gloria with Maximo during the day on Friday to the clinic, which is doable, but not optimal, for a plethora of reasons - transportation costs, reliable taxi, carseat, fitting it in during the day between meals, naps, etc. So hopefully, Monday, Wednesdays, and Thursdays afternoon works.
On that note, we're excited for the weekend, so we can spend every possible minute we can with Maximo.

Can you pay her an additional fee, so that she can take a taxi?

That is what we did when Jenny was super pregnant.

yea - but I'm not even sure she wants to do another patient in the afternoons - she works 6 days a week at the clinic
I'm cracking up over here by the way - super pregnant so she's taking a taxi, but still giving you massages!:)

It was her choice! She needed the money. She only took a month maternity leave as well.
