Well, we've got a big boy living in our house now... Maximo is now semi-regularly sleeping through the night (a whole 8-10 hours!), he's eating like a champ and taking less breastmilk because he's also drinking water and juice (it's been a nice relief that I only have to pump once at school now, rather than 2 or 3 times within the work day).
Today, he had a physical therapy session - he's been a lot less fussy the past few weeks. He seems to be progressing and getting stronger. It's hard to make sure he's getting enough belly time during the day, so we've been trying to do as much as we can when we're with him. The therapist also wants us to let him run his hands and feet through lentils. It's supposed to help with his hypertensivity - clutched hands and curled toes. The problem with the lentils is making sure he doesn't jam them into his mouth - which is what he tries to do with everything nowadays. This is also an activity we don't feel very comfortable with him doing with anyone else, either. Hopefully we're doing enough. It's definitely a balance between cuddling our sweet boy and challenging him to help him overcome his developmental delays and challenges. We see the "therapist doctor" on Monday for an evaluation. So, we'll see if therapy once a week is sufficient or if he'll want the therapist to come twice a week.
He has his seventh-month check-up with the pediatrician tomorrow. He seems a lot bigger, so we're curious on his measurements.
Also, we've finished posting photos for this month. Check out Sr. Guapo here.
