MAXIMO

We just got back from the doctor and he is really happy with Maximo's progress. His weight was 2520 grams (5 lbs. 9 oz.) which is good. I am concerned, however, with the cysts that were found in his brain. Dr. Zegarra says the Max looks healthy and we should just "go on" his progress. When we were talking about possible reasons and outcomes of the cysts the conversation got scary with the mention of Cerebral Palsy... Again the doctor is very optimistic, but the mere mention of the disease is totally freaking me out! We went to the physician that specializes in physiotherapy and he was too happy with Maximo's muscle tone and reflexes. He suggested that we do preventative physical therapy once a week starting mid-November and we're going to go back to be evaluated by him in three months. So, again the roller coaster ride continues...
