We've just returned from our visit to Dr. Zegarra's office. Maximo received his last Synergis shot and vaccinations for pnuemococo and the rotavirus. He was a champ and it's about a billion degrees outside, so he did well, just a little bit of crying. He's now 6390 grams (14 lbs. 1 oz.) and 60.5 cm (almost 24 inches). He's actually in the 10% for weight and 5% for height and head circumference - and that's for a 5 month old! Dr. Zegarra said we're going to start food next month!
Maximo is still pretty hyper-reflexive, especially in his legs. Dr. Zegarra says it's normal for a preemie and hopefully with therapy and time it'll go away. He did make a phone call to the head doctor at the physical therapy clinic to get us in earlier - I couldn't get an appointment before the first week of March; he got us in next Wednesday!
So, that's all that's really a concern right now, and I'm trying not to stress out about it. I think I'm okay with it - right now;)
Besides being ridiculously cute and smiling all the time (and actually sleeping fairly well), the only other remarkable news is... his beautiful hair is falling out. It'll be replaced by more beautiful hair we're sure, but he looks like a middle aged man right now, with a bad comb-over!
