At the beach

We made it to Georgia! We had a great travel day with Maximo. He was amazing! We think he's getting the hang of it - or at least we are. We were again delayed out of Newark, and arrived in Georgia only 2 hours late. We were again able to get a rental car on an expired license, so that didn't add to our drama at the end of the travel day. We spent two days in Savannah with John's parents - they were oohing and ahhing over Maximo. We filled up on good Southern food yesterday at John's mom's: pork barbeque, shrimp potato salad, baked beans, yellow squash and peach cobbler, YUMM! Max tried it all and LOVED the cobbler. Really, who wouldn't?
We're now at Tybee Beach with our friends Hugo and Sarah and their adorable son, Charlie. We got in late yesterday afternoon, just in time for some thunder and lightening storms. Hopefully today we'll get to use the pools and go to the beach. Maximo is loving "hanging out" with Charlie.
When I have a couple more minutes (maybe tonight?) I'll post pictures - we have a lot!
And just in case you were worried, we are both now legal Georgia drivers.
