We just returned from the physical therapy clinic. Dr. Rivera evaluated Maximo - his upper body is on track with a normal 5 month old (his adjusted age), he did say that his lower legs, especially his left side is extremely tight and hyper-reflexive. He was not super concerned. Well, he was concerned enough to bump up his physical therapy to three times per week, but he said that since Maximo didn't have a ton of problems in the NICU, we can hopefully fix these issues with therapy. He wants to see Maximo again in two months with hopes of cutting back his therapy.
As far as his weight and height go (I kinda of freaked out after the last visit) - I checked them against his adjusted age (5 months) on the growth charts and he's in the 50% for both, so we're not going to worry too much. He did start chicken and rice this weekend and seems to like it, so we're eating that and lots of sweet potato and avocado - great calorie-rich foods!
