MAXIMO

We've just returned from the doctor's office and Maximo is gaining weight steadily. He weighed 2090 grams (up from 2010 on Wednesday). Dr. Llanos said that it's really remarkable he's gaining so steadily from strictly breastfeeding and that many babies who have to stay in the NICU for a long time need supplemental feedings.
Also, yesterday was a gorgeous sunny Sunday in Lima, and for those of you who live or have visited here, you know at this time of year, they are far and few between, so we went out for a mini-walk. We bundled him up and I wore him in a baby sling and we walked to the malecon and hung out there for about fifteen minutes. We're not really supposed to be going out, but neither Max nor I had left the house since the doctor's office last Wednesday. I think the fresh air was good for both of us!
