Well, we made it through our first night. Maximo is quite the night owl - he wanted to eat every hour and a half to two hours, which left me exhausted in the morning. Luckily, I got a nap around 6:00 this morning and then blueberry pancakes for breakfast! We're happy that he ate so frequently though, because his weight is the thing we're most concerned with at this point. Hopefully he's tipped the two kilogram mark (about 4.4 lbs.). He's been fairly easy, the worst part is giving him his supplemental nutrients - he needs to take calcium four times a day, a vitamin A, D and C complex twice a day, and iron once a day. He hates them and gags when I give them to him, which brings me back to those wonderful days when he had apnea and would just stop breathing. I'll be happy we can stop administering those. A nurse told me we'd have to administer them until he was at least three kilos, I hope that's all.
Tomorrow we head off to the doctor's office for our first visit, so I'll post his progress after that.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
Finally at home, this will all be a distant memory now.
Let us know when it is OK for us to visit you.
Gaby
Max must be growing fast to be hungry so often! He knows it's mother's milk that brought him this far---see how smart he is?
Gigi :-)
