This is going to be brief because I'm exhausted. I kangarooed with Maximo for 12 hours today. Then John came by after work and held him for a good hour or so. Hopefully it did him some good. His SpO2 levels were okay most of the day, but he "bottomed out" 3 times, which is pretty scary, the bells all start going off and he turns a little purple and listless. The doctor thinks it is due to the infection he has, we'll see. Hopefully he'll improve over the next few days. John has been granted some time off of work to help with the kangaroo care and to hopefully help us from tracking in more germs. Tomorrow he'll be 2 weeks old. It seems like he has been in the NICU forever and it seems like we have forever to go...

Kangaroo care seems to make a lot of sense~ keep up the good work! I'm glad John has some time off work; you guys stay strong. You've got people all over the world rooting for you!
