Times are a changing... Maximo is already returning back to his normal schedule. Last night he only woke up once, though had a tough day of napping. We're amazed at how well he's doing in his crib after sleeping with us in bed for over a week. He isn't going to sleep by himself very well though. He wants to fall asleep in our arms and if we put him down before he's in a deep sleep, he'll start screaming (like he did last night). We think he was really overtired too, but he soothed (okay, cried) himself to sleep in about 15 minutes.
He's also starting to "bite" me. He doesn't have any teeth yet, but he's latching on (like a bear trap) to me. I think just for fun... maybe he thinks I'm a teething ring, maybe he's staking his claim. Without teeth, it's uncomfortable, I don't want to think about what it's going to feel like when his fangs come in.
He's more animated every day and is a very smiley little boy. He's babbling up a storm and is soaking through his clothing once, if not three times daily (combo of saliva and poop) - nice. He's starting to laugh - if we pretend to sneeze in his face. He'll probably grow up being insensitive to sick people.
We start back to work in less than a week. I'm already getting anxious, though I know millions of women do it every year. I know he's happy and safe at home, it's me I'm worried about. He's going to be spending more time with Gloria and Rosmery than Mom and Dad. (sniffle)

If you add up all awake time during the weekdays, weekends, and holidays, they end up spending most of their year with Mom and Dad. I did the math to make myself feel better.
