Again, more sleep talk. He's being consistent at night going about 5 hours for the first stretch, then 3 and 3. It's tolerable, but oh, what a treat it'll be to sleep through the night again (it will happen again, won't it?). He has been fighting sleep during the day while we're at home. He'll sleep for an hour and a half tops, except after therapy. On Friday, he slept for 3 hours after therapy. One theory we have is the light in his bedroom, so today we bought navy blue curtains to put in his room. It seems to have worked, because we haven't been able to get him in his crib before 7:00 pm and he went tonight at about 6:15. He sleeps beautifully when he's in the Baby Bjorn or in the car - for sometimes three to four hours, so we think he needs it and he's a little fussy monkey when he doesn't sleep well (kind of like his mom). Taking him out and about is okay, but it's too much daily, because we can't get much stuff done around the house or sneak in a nap ourselves. Today he slept well and he's just so happy, smiling and "talking" to us.
He has also started taking at least one bottle a day in efforts to get him "bilingual". He seems to have mastered it, since before bottle feedings were taking almost an hour, and now we can do it in about 15-20 minutes. Hopefully this will make it easier once I return to school. He is regularly taking a bottle at about 4:45 pm with about 5 - 5 1/2 oz which fills him up for his first stretch of sleeping for the night.
As far as physically, he's progressing with his neck strength though bobbles a bit when sitting up in our laps. He loves standing though. We support him on our legs and he loves it!
