Maximo is enamored with Flavius. If he hears him meow, he stops whatever he is doing: eating, drinking, playing and he starts looking all over for him - especially for his tail; he is mesmorized by it. It's really cute, except for when I've just gotten Maximo to sleep and in prances Flavius crying for attention (for those of you who have met Flavius, you know how vocal he really is). Flavius has been really patient with Maximo, especially lately when Max has been "petting" (grabbing fistfuls of fur) him. You can see Flavius's expression in both pictures, that he's just barely tolerating it.
We had a great weekend, though Maximo's sleep schedule is still tiresome. He's not sleeping more than 45 minutes at a clip during the day (though he's taking 3 naps) and at night he's not going more than 4 1/2 hours. We remember not too long ago, when he was sleeping 8 hours at time at night. Hopefully we'll return to that soon, because we're exhausted!
We need to take down the mosquito netting from around his bed because he's pulling it through the slats of his crib and stuffing it in his mouth - not the safest thing in the world. He's been moving around a lot in the crib. Twice this weekend, we found him on his belly after being put down on his back. We also frequently find him with various limbs hanging through the slats of his crib, which really frustrates him. It also looks like he's attemping to crawl, though he's far away from doing it. He can't seem to get his legs and arms to work together - he's either moving forward with his upper body and dragging his lower body in circles, or he's moving his legs, but then he pulls his hands out and goes flat on his chest. Truly, we're just happy we're seeing progress with his physical development. He's just going to go at his own pace which is fine with us as long as he's progressing.
We've just finished uploading (all) the pictures from Maximo's 7th month. Check them out here.
