You may be asking yourself: Isn't it summer in Peru? or What is he doing in the Bumbo on the bathroom counter?
Well, for one he looks ridiculously cute in this chullo (hat) and I wanted to see if it still fit so maybe he could wear it once it starts to cool off. He enjoyed looking at himself in the mirror, so I went with it. In the midst of playing, I had to use the loo, (and John's out for a bike ride) so I put in him the Bumbo in the mirror so I could go. Max is happy, Mommy is happy. (As you can see I did not, however, take the photos while using the bathroom.)
We're just having a lazy (translation: very enjoyable) Sunday. Yesterday, I prepared zapallo (a squash, I'm not sure what the name is in English) - it's a large green squash with yellow flesh, sweet potato, and more banana puree. We're going to try a vegetable again with the squash hoping it's a little gentler on his GI system. If the squash goes well, we'll add sweet potato in the middle of the week. He's pretty much just been eating cereal and apple the past five days. He's definitely not as gassy, but he's been spitting up A LOT. We're not sure if it's reflux from the apples or what. He's not uncomfortable thought. So we'll be eating more bananas too!
After not rolling over again once I posted it (maybe a week ago or two), he rolled three times this morning. Every time I put him on his stomach he'd roll to his back and was quite happy with himself. Yipee!
