We've just returned from the doctor's office. Maximo weighs 7.03 kg (about 15 1/2 lbs) he's in the 20% now for a 6 month old. He's finally on the charts now too for length and head circumference (5% for both). Dr. Zegarra had nothing but glowing things to say about Maximo (and how well we were raising him):)
He did encourage us to feed him more food - it was quite a crazy "food chart" he had with Maximo eating a lot of different foods quickly, so we're going to continue with what we're doing. We may, however, give him more than one new food per week, especially since he's devouring his bananas and cereal.
It was so nice to have a doctor's appointment and hear nothing but good things. (I think that was a first!)
Maximo is not doing well during the daytime as far as taking naps for Gloria, so hopefully it's just a transition period right now without Mommy and Daddy around all the time and also starting to eat foods. This week, he's either taken a nap when we've gotten home (around 4 or 5, a bit late) or he's super over-tired and really fussy because he has hardly slept all day.
Tomorrow is our first day with students. I'm going to continue to breastfeed for as long as I can (okay maybe not literally), so I'm pumping during the day at work. Hopefully it won't be too difficult now that the kids are returning - and hopefully no unexpecting middle schooler walks into the book room - which is currently my pumping station.
