MAXIMO

To you, this may look like one of the numerous cute outfits Maximo wears... But there's a story.
About 6 years ago we were perusing TJ Maxx for a year's worth of work clothes for a mere $20. Let's just say we didn't leave with a new wardrobe for us, but we did spot this little outfit. We looked at it and looked at each other - a cute little boy outfit (oh, how we wanted a son, even then) and it was a crew outfit (John rowed in college).
Should we buy it? We weren't ready to have kids, but we'd never find this outfit again. We bought it and I placed it way in the back of my closet as our little secret. Hoping it wouldn't jinx us, it moved with us to two different apartments in Savannah, our condo, and to its current residence in Peru. And today, the little man wears it for the first time.
John's childhood phrase (that he still obnoxiously uses when we play games) suits this post perfectly... "GOT WHAT I WANTED..." (Remember playing Go Fish as a kid and drawing the card you needed?)
