Zzzzzzzzzz. Maximo is perfect except for the fact that he's not sleeping for long chuncks of time at night. Lately, he's been sleeping for a four hour stent (until about 11 or midnight), then he's up every 2-3 hours after that. The past couple of nights, it's been every 2 hours. He eats, then falls asleep before he's had enough or he doesn't burp, so it makes him think he's fuller than he really is.
Once John's done with school we're going to go on Operation Sleeper to try to get him sleeping better (at least a 5 hour stent at night). We've been reading a bunch of things about sleep - hopefully it'll be better with John going in at night (he lacks the scent of milk).
Any other advice?

Ok. At 10 pounds their stomach should be big enough to let them go 5-6 in a stretch. We did several things:
- use a pacifier to allow them to suck but not drink milk. If you don't like the ideas of a pacifier you can only use it for the middle of night.
- we also cluster feed. Two feeds back to back (for Riley it was a 5pm and 6pm and then bed at 6:30). This will really fill them up.
- make sure he burps!
- keep him awake if you don't think he's eaten enough.
- dream feed - pump before hand (Fun!) then before you think he is going to wake up give him a bottle of breastmilk. Do that for a week. Reducing the amount until nothing. He will have been sleeping through and will want to continue it.
All of these are in the Baby Whisperer and we did all of these with Riley and she slept like a dream. I did none of these with Tess and she still isn't sleeping through the night consistently. Her new thing is waking between midnight and 4am. But we are hoping that is milestone wakings because she just started walking!
Skype or VOIP if you need more support!
